This Sunday is the hand in day for this year's Royal Miniature Society Exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London (if you are posting your submissions, you need to have them there by Friday). This really is a superb show and I would encourage any artists with an interest in Miniature Art to submit work. Work is selected from entries received and, although the standard is extremely high, this is undoubtedly one of the best shows of it's kind in the world, so a huge boost if your work is accepted!
The Exhibition runs from October 12th until 22nd, with the Private View on Oct 11th. Lennox Cato, BBC presenter and Antiques Dealer, will officially open the Exhibition on Wednesday 12th, with the Award Presentations at 3pm. There are over 600 artworks, almost all for sale, from artists around the world, daily demonstrations and this year includes a special exhibition entitled 'Children Through the Ages' curated by Roger Philips and Carmela Arturi.
The Exhibition will be available to view online again this year, and I'll post details once it's ready. Full details of the exhibition, together with entry forms, can be found on the Royal Miniature Society website.
